This stunning poster was the first one designed by a young apprentice in the Basel studio of Niklaus Stoecklin. Birkhauser's perfectly stitched button won first prize in the PKZ 1934 competition, beating out his teacher's famed Magritte-like gentleman in a bowler hat and overcoat.

Birkhauser' PKZ Button represents one of the finest moments in the PKZ series and of the Object Poster. Blown up to gigantic scale, the button becomes an icon that in its beauty and precision comes to symbolize the quality for which the brand was famous.

Hard to find, with 2 light horizontal folds but very good condition overall. Spectacular!
