John Scotford was a gifted student artist at Dartmouth and in 1940 created one of the finest Dartmouth Winter Carnival posters. He went on to become the head of design at Dartmouth and led a successful graphic design career. His delightful Mid-Century Modern Dartmouth Skiway is one of the most proficient and eye-catching stylized ski posters of the era. Think Jane and George Jetson on skis!
