This is surely the most valuable of all unofficial Olympic posters. It was produced by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1932 to promote its "exotic" West Coast destinations to Easterners, which included a line to Los Angeles, the Grand Canyon and excursions called the Indian Detours. The latter was a series of auto tours that ran between the Grand Canyon and Santa Fe, stopping at Indian ruins and active pueblos at Taos and elsewhere. The poster primarily features a race between Indian braves to promote the first west coast Olympics, the 1932 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

Created by renowned painter and graphic designer Hernando Villa, it was one of the highlights of his 40 years advertising the Santa Fe Railroad. This poster is extremely rare.
