Romeo and Juliet (Paris Opera House), 1964
This is a promotional poster for Paris commissioned by the French Tourist office. Depicting a scene from the ceiling of the Paris Opera House (which Chagall donated to the city after seven months of labor), it was a fitting symbol for the cultural highlights of the city. One of Chagall's most famous posters.
