This is the cover of pioneering dealer Edmund Sagot's first poster catalog from 1891, which remarkably offered 2,233 posters for sale. Only 550 copies were printed of this marketing effort, which truly indicated the enthusiasm generated by the poster and its principal dealer.
Priced generally from 1 to 10 francs, the catalog included a staggering 569 posters by Cheret.
