Radiohaus Scheuchzer - Basel, 1931
This is Stoecklin's second poster for a radio store in Basel. His first poster showed a huge radio tube in photographic detail; this second showing a giant ear was equally dramatic. One of the earliest Swiss Object Posters, the Radiohaus Ear was the first to merely suggest the product, as opposed to showing it. Surrealistic images like this led the Swiss to call the style "Magic Realism."
