Galloping Dick, 1896

Hazenplug, Frank poster: Galloping Dick

Founded by two Harvard undergrads in 1893, Stone and Kimball printed beautiful limited edition books by some of America's best authors. With Will Bradley as their designer, they quickly became famous for their in-house magazine, The Chap-Book.

Frank Hazenplug took over for Bradley when the latter moved to Springfield in 1896. He left design in the capable hands of Frank Hazenplug, who created this wonderful poster for a novel about "a sometime gentleman of the road."

Rare and in excellent condition.
