Primeval World - Santa Fe and Disneyland RR, 1957
This vibrant silkscreen poster was produced in a small run to promote a dinosaur attraction at Disneyland. Not made for sale, it was used as a display within the park which was changed out when it faded. Fortunately, a few of these remained when the ride was decommissioned in the Seventies and sold to visitors.
It is not surprising to see Disney on the cutting edge of this vibrant "Pop" period of American graphic design. The other worldliness of the dinosaurs is strongly evoked by acid green and yellow contrasted by purple and neon blue.
