This rare and magnificent large-format poster for Cordial Campari is a masterpiece of Italian Art Deco. The cubistic still life composition, with its dramatic use of light and shadow and rich, deep colors, would be a grand statement for a bar or dining area. Marcello Nizzoli was a creative genius who made significant contributions as an artist, graphic and industrial designer and architect. His posters were as brilliant and varied as France's great posterist AM Cassandre, utilizing the vocabularies of Cubism, Futurism and Surrealism. As the head of design at Olivetti, he created the first ergonomically advanced business machines in the '50s.
