Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre, 1913 ca.
Dudovich is considered one of Italy's very best poster artists. This rare design for a motorbike company (which also made firearms) dates from the same years that he was creating his famous posters for the Mele Department Store shortly before WWI. It shows an intent rider speeding up a long, steep hill winding in the background - this is a bike made for serious business. The design is rendered beautifully, and along with its extraordinary color palette of nearly iridescent blues, greens and cream it is hard to take your eye off of the poster. In fine condition. An example of this poster sold for more than $8500 in 2019 at auction.
