Why Wait Till Later? - London Underground,
1938
Severin, an accomplished Belgian artist who spent the Thirties in London, created a terrific series of posters promoting the nightlife of the city. Vibrant scenes of bustling restaurants, movie theatres and nightcap-snacks were followed by The Way Home, a night scene of Londoners heading home by tube. This, the second in the series, features Ronald Colman in "If I were King" released in 1938. A fantastic and unique poster.
