A delightful original exhibition poster for painter and weaver Camille Hilaire (1916-2004), depicting an abstract painterly landscape.
Hilaire was a prominent French artist, having studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and worked under the tutelage of Cubist painter André Lhote. He developed his personal style at the intersection of Cubism and figuration, rooted in tradition yet experimenting with abstraction and color.
