Share Jewish Relief Campaign , 1915
The outbreak of WWI necessitated urgent monetary relief for both Europe and Palestine. Burke's poster for the Jewish Relief Campaign that began in 1914 is one of the most sought-after posters ever created by a Jewish organization in America. The poster employs an allegorical figure - a serene benefactor meant to symbolize America - feeding a refugee family at dawn, with the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline in the distance. This poster features an overprinting for the New Jersey Drive for $1 million (out of an estimated total of $20 million) before the US entered the war In fine condition, this is a beautiful historical document.
