A beautiful original lithographic exhibition poster for French painter, sculptor, and printmaker Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985) at the Fondation Maeght in 1967. Dubuffet was a leading artist in the School of Paris and after World War II, he coined the term “art brut,” or “raw art,” unconventional outsider art in opposition to postwar modernism. He gained international recognition in the 1950s and 60s, exhibiting widely and recognized for his innovative use of media such as incorporating tar, straw, and sand into oil paint. In excellent condition.
