General Dynamics - Electrodynamics, 1955
In 1955, Swiss designer Erik Nitsche became the Art Director for General Dynamics, a leading multi-division technology firm most famous for building the first nuclear submarine. There, Nitsche created nearly 30 spectacular Modernist posters promoting the conglomerate’s various disciplines.

This poster was one of several designed for the First International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy in Geneva, August 1955. Each had the title "Peaceful Use fo the Atom" in a different language - here in Farsi. To promote his company’s expertise in Electrodynamics, Nitsche shows a globe behind a lightbulb fueled by the power of the atom - a succinct metaphor for the peaceful potential of nuclear power.
