Parapluie-Revel,
1922
If you need a strong umbrella for stormy weather, you need one from the Revel Company of Nice. That is the message of this favorite poster of Cappiello, the leading poster artist of Paris from 1905 to 1923. We look down on three figures, all blown about by the wind, but the Revel umbrellas are steady as a rock.
This is the original in-store display version of this highly successful poster. It sells for several thousand dollars in the rare 47" x 63" and 78 x 124" sizes.
